I'm Leon Walker. I started Rutspin because I kept watching good local businesses lose work for the daftest reason in the world — nobody answered the phone. Not because they didn't want the work. Because they were on a job, under a sink, up a roof, or it was half eight on a Tuesday and the phone was in the van.

So the caller rang the next business on the list. The one that picked up. And the job was gone.

I'd been building AI systems for years, and it struck me as obvious: the technology to answer that call, have a proper conversation, and book the job already existed. It just wasn't aimed at the plumber in Hitchin, or the roofer in Luton, or the garage in Stevenage. It was aimed at big companies with big budgets.

So I built Rutspin for them. I build and run every system myself, from Hitchin, Hertfordshire. There's no call centre. No faceless agency handing you off to a junior account manager. When you ring Rutspin, you're talking to the person who built it.

If something needs fixing, it gets fixed — by me, usually the same day. If the AI sounds wrong on a particular type of call, I tune it. If you want something changed, you tell me, and I change it. That's the whole point.
